Songe d’Été transports you to the heart of the garrigue, beneath the golden sun of southern France. In the distance, the song of cicadas accompanies the warm breeze brushing through blooming lavandin fields. The lavandin essential oil, distilled directly by a Belgian producer based in southern France, gives this liquid soap its soothing and solar olfactory signature.

Made from organic plant oils using traditional artisanal saponification, this liquid soap gently cleanses the skin. Its pure and healthy formula, free from preservatives and controversial ingredients, respects all skin types.

Traditional handcrafted saponification: an ancestral art

Traditional artisanal saponification consists of slowly cooking plant oils with a base — here potassium hydroxide — to create a liquid soap rich in mild cleansing agents and naturally occurring glycerin with moisturizing properties. This method provides a fluid texture, a fine lather and excellent skin tolerance. This process is comparable to the one used for our solid soaps, as we also transform organic plant oils and butters into glycerin-rich soap.

As with all soaps made from plant oils, the amount of foam may vary depending on water hardness: the softer the water, the more the soap will lather. Even with a light foam, the texture remains sensory, offering a pleasant glide and effective cleansing, leaving the skin soft and comfortable.

Songe d’Été is formulated for hands and body. Although gentle, we recommend a patch test before using it on the face, especially for very reactive skin. For facial care, we also offer solid soaps specifically formulated for this delicate area.

Although made with mild ingredients, this soap remains a true artisanal soap and may cause slight eye irritation. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

No. Like all true saponified soaps, this liquid soap has a naturally alkaline pH, generally between 9 and 10. This allows effective cleansing without synthetic agents.

However, thanks to its artisanal manufacturing process and naturally occurring glycerin, it respects the skin’s balance and is suitable for daily use.

The lather depends on water hardness: the softer the water, the more abundant the foam. Even with a light lather, the fluid texture and pleasant glide provide a complete sensory experience and effective cleansing without stripping the skin.
